Jazz It Up

Replace area rugs. Rugs can look worn quite quickly, especially in Cayman’s climate, and a new one does not have to break the budget. Soft pile indoor/outdoor rugs clean more easily and are therefore ideal in heavy traffic areas.

New lamps and art can be relatively easy and inexpensive to change and have an immediate impact, modernizing the look of the existing furnishings.

Pillows are, of course, the designer’s favorite tool. Try different color and size combinations for a fun new look that introduces different hues.

A bigger budget item to consider would be window treatments, if your landlord allows changes. This is especially important if you have large windows and doors looking out to the sea, as worn, tired or dirty window treatments can really kill the impact.

There is an amazing array of options and fabrics to consider, but keeping things light and simple lets the view do the talking.
